Research Team for Promoting Independence of the Elderly

  In order to promote the independence  of the elderly, our research team focuses on the prevention of physical and mental disability in late life. Various preventive strategies are developed, based on a series of observational studies on risk factors, and the efficacy of each strategy is examined through a series of intervention studies. Public enterprises, established through these processes, are also reassessed and new proposals are made to improve the efficiency of the programs. Three groups are currently active under the following research themes:
