For Patients and the Public

Invitation to Participate

Tokyo Metropolitan Institute for Geriatrics and Gerontology (TMIG) is committed to advancing research on healthy aging by elucidating the biological and clinical mechanisms of aging and age-related diseases, developing evidence-based strategies to modulate aging processes, and establishing innovative approaches for early diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.

To advance this research, we kindly request your invaluable cooperation in providing biological samples (such as blood samples) and related information (including clinical and medical records). These contributions are crucial for producing high-quality, translational insights into the mechanisms of aging and geriatric health.

Overview of TMIG Biobank

TMIG Biobank is committed to the ethical collection and storage of a wide range of clinical samples and related information including blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and diagnostic imaging through the generous cooperation of participants. These valuable resources support research into disease mechanisms and contribute to the development of preventive strategies, therapeutic approaches, and novel medications.
