The team aims to find novel aging mechanisms to investigate the functional decline of organs and tissues, which occurs at the cellular and genetic levels with progressing age, and extrapolates the research to the aging of the entire body, or individual aging. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the improvement of the health and longevity of the elderly.
