Profile

The nervous systems, central and peripheral nervous systems, are a foundation for animal in basic and play essential roles such as pain processing, excretion, and higher brain functions such as memory and thought. Thus, the overcoming the difficulty in the nervous systems has profound effect for the elderly population to maintain health and to live a active life. Aging Neuroscience Research Team has three major themes; Autonomic Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, and Memory Neuroscience. The team is aiming for the successful aging through the dissolving the difficulties in the nervous systems.
The team is assembled with neuroscience-related researches from the existing research activities. We hope the intense interaction between the researchers in the team will yield the new and innovative approaches toward the issues in neuroscience of aging.
